Senior Service Network (SSN) is a Northern Nevada-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting seniors who find themselves in dire financial situations. Since 2002, our mission has been to provide immediate, one-time assistance to seniors facing life-altering financial challenges.

Imagine this: A senior on a fixed income receives an unexpected medical bill, and suddenly, they’re at risk of eviction. Or perhaps their utility bill goes unpaid, and they’re days away from losing electricity in the middle of winter. These are not hypothetical situations—they’re the stories we hear daily from seniors in our community.

At SSN, we step in when no one else can. We prevent seniors from being evicted, keep their lights on, and cover emergency expenses that, left unaddressed, could lead to a downward spiral of financial hardship. Our program provides one-time financial aid for critical needs such as rent, utility bills, prescription medications, vehicle repairs, durable medical equipment, dental care, and hearing aids. Most importantly, we provide hope and stability during times of crisis.

Thanks to a dedicated team of board members and volunteers, 98% of all funds raised go directly to helping seniors in need. Administrative costs are kept to a modest 2%, ensuring your donation has the greatest impact.

Historically, our primary source of funding has come from our annual Senior Celebration event, which typically raises $20,000. However, with the dramatic rise in assistance requests this year—particularly for help with rent—we are reaching out to our community for additional support.
