If you know or are an older adult facing an unexpected expense or financial hardship, you may not have to face it alone. Senior Service Network’s Senior In Need program provides one-time financial assistance to help stabilize urgent situations and protect basic needs. Senior Service Network serves Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, Washoe, and Storey Counties.
Help may also be available through Nevada Care Connection.
How to Apply
If you believe you or someone you support may qualify, we encourage you to submit an application.
Applications may be completed by:
- The senior directly
- A family member or caregiver
- A social worker or provider
- A referral partner organization
What the Program Provides
The Senior In Need program offers limited financial support for essential expenses that may put a senior’s stability or safety at risk.
Assistance may help with:
Rent or housing-related costs
Utilities
Medical or health-related needs
Essential home or safety repairs
Other urgent, stability-related expenses
Payments are made directly to the service provider or vendor to resolve the immediate need.

Senior Service Network works closely with professionals and organizations serving older adults. If you are assisting a senior experiencing hardship, you may submit or support an application on their behalf.

A Note About Funding
Senior In Need assistance is made possible through community support and fundraising efforts such as Senior Celebration. Funds are limited, and not all requests can be approved, but each application is reviewed with care and respect.
